A trapeze is a horizontal bar that is supported by two ropes or metal straps, on which an acrobat performs tricks and/or swings from Point A to Point B… or C, D, E, or F! The first flying trapeze act was performed by the famous French acrobat, Jules Léotard, at the Cirque Napoléon in Paris, France in the mid 1800’s. And yes, you guessed it, he loved loved loved leotards! Trapeze acts are commonly associated with circus performance –however, Misko and Tiera will not be performing in the circus…yet! Trapeze performance takes a lot of hard work and practice to master, so let’s take baby steps shall we?
Misko & Tiera tried out Trapeze @ Trapeze le Voltigeur
Animal shelters are places for animals who are stray, or have been abandoned or surrendered, to stay temporarily. In shelters, animals will receive the care that they need until they can be adopted by their forever family. At a good animal shelter, the animals are given healthy food, taken on walks regularly, and given the attention and, in some instances, training that they need to be happy and more adoptable to pet owners. And guess what? It’s way cheaper to adopt an animal from a shelter than to buy one from a pet store.
Misko & Tiera learned all about it at the SPCA Roussillon.
