These two goof balls share a lot of laughs as they both impersonate some of their favorite comedic actors with performances good enough for the Oscars. And they may even learn to do some surfing! If they can stop laughing that is…. Tune it to find out what’s so funny and to see if they get mistaken for little green men!

Our Hollywood episode! So much fun, you know I almost met Seth Rogen… while you were hanging out with Brett. I saw him I swear I did.

Brett Dier

No way Darcy, if he saw me he would totally have come said hello. You know I’m famous ‘round here. And not just for my chopstick skills.

Lollay

Yea I think you’re getting ahead of yourself Darcy

Darcy Waite

C’mon Lollay I’m…I mean…we’re in Hollywood! Anything is possible!

Fun Fact : Justin Rain

Darcy Waite

I think my favorite part was practicing for that alien scene! It was so hard to keep a straight face…probably the hardest acting I’ve ever done tbh

Brett Dier

Oh yea you were great! Your alien face was almost as good as ours tbh

Brett Dier

Lollay

Ok guys too much “tbh” going on here. TBH the best was my epic photo shoot ;) Brett gave awesome direction hahah

Darcy Waite

Well… nothing beats the alien interactions of our crew…

Lollay

Oh yea don’t forget this one of our director…

Brett Dier

Lollay…looks like the director wasn’t the only one having fun with the prosthetics while we were getting our make up done…

Surfing was so awesome!!! Do you guys remember we even saw dolphins while out there, it was one of the best experiences ever! This little side interview I did with our producer brings me right back

Lollay

That’s cool Darcy, we all had such a blast. LOL but who took this really artsy video of seaweed? …so random.

Darcy Waite

Hey - I have an artsy side you know!

Brett Dier

I loved our Baywatch moment. Running on the beach in perfect synchronicity…epic…

Lollay

It was smart that we learned how to pop on the sand first, you got pretty good at it Brett!

Brett Dier

Thanks Lollay! All round that was a pretty fantastical, magestical, illuminating…wait did I mention how the illuminati-

Darcy Waite

Those aren’t real words Brett… and we already talked about how this show isn’t part of
a conspiracy theory…But we sure did have a blast!

One Wave Surf

When you think of surfing I am sure the image that comes to mind is someone on a brightly coloured board wearing board shorts, but historically it was a slightly different picture.  Surf boards were invented by the ancient Polynesian people and were made of solid wood. They could be up to 24 feet in length, which would have made them extremely heavy!

In 2003 Tyler Trafas had a genius idea, one that would be good for the environment and fun! He began to refurbish surf boards while also giving lessons. But these days you can find Tyler on the beach in L.A giving lessons on his boards, which weigh quite a bit less than they used to!

Here is where Brett & Lollay tried surfing:

Cinema Makeup School

What if aliens are real? Or what if you can just look like one for a little while? Professional makeup artists often lend their talent to big Hollywood movies to create realistic and sometimes freaky looks for the screen. Using a blend of prosthetics and applied makeup they are able to create some pretty dazzling looks that might even convince you that you really did see an alien!

Check out the work by the talented makeup artists that we met in this week’s episode at the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles!

You may recognize him from his roles on Blackstone and Delmer & Marta, or you may have heard that he’s produced a few films and web series himself, but it’s time to get to know DARCY WAITE as host of That’s AWSM! Outgoing, sporty, goofy, warm, and entertaining, Darcy is down to try any and all of our AWSM activities… unfortunately he doesn’t often get to! He can recite every single line from every Will Ferrell movie ever made, and isn’t too crazy about vegetables, but there is nothing he loves more than meeting teens from communities all over Canada and helping them live their best AWSM lives – which makes him the perfect guy for the job!

NationMohawk

Lollay is a fourteen year old Mohawk from Akwesasne. His greatest dream in life is to become an actor and to be the first Indigenous person to win an Oscar for acting… based on what we’ve seen, we think we can do it! Lollay has the soul of an explorer and went on a six month driving trip with his family across the United States. While he was travelling he got to meet people from many different nations, including the Navajo people. He cites this as a real learning experience and is super happy his family was able to share the experience!

Brett Dier is a force to be reckoned with. He is the actor who portrayed Michael on Jane the Virgin and will be starring in the new ABC comedy called Schooled! If you’ve seen his social media accounts then you know that he also a great improviser and a very goofy dude! He also believes in the paranormal and won’t say no to a little ghost hunting or even alien hunting… But as someone who was born on Valentine’s Day he a natural born romantic with a penchant for meditating to keep stress at bay, especially when he’s on set!
